Tuff Darts - My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms (1978)
Good evening. Here's a beauty from 1978 NYC, a sorta glam punk love song from a guitar player to his guitar, which seems to have become sentient while he succumbs to its will. And as they merge through blood, uncertain, we get to hear some magic.
I'd love to let go as my guitar starts to glow
In flashes of red that squeeze out and they spread
My guitar lies bleeding in my arms
I occasionally do music and announcing for the local youth hockey programs in my spare time, and I will definitely be adding this to the pre-game and intermission. What an awesome song, man. It will sound great in the old barn.
