Harry Manfredini - Friday The 13th Part 3 Theme (1982)

Hey, it's Friday so let's all head on down to the lake by the old campground. We can go dancing. What could possibly go wrong?

This is when the Friday The 13th franchise went 3D. It's also the one where Jason gets his hockey mask. It's also when the opening theme went full on electrofunk and it really is a glorious moment when those opening titles hit. This is an extended version but an extra couple minutes of that spooky riff and that syntholated beat is fine by me. I'm doing the Robot as I try to type this. See y'all later.

    If my kids ever ask me what the 80s were like (like they'd ever give a shit), I will have them sit in a dark room and listen to this

Cindy & Bert - Der Hund Von Baskerville (1971) Cindy & Bert, a German vocal duo (and married couple) mainly played breezy tunes akin to say, Sonny & Cher. Apparently they were quite successful with a number of pop hits on the German charts through the 70s. This here though - it's a bit of a mind boggle. We have our happy couple covering Sabbath's 1970 hit Paranoid, in the German language, but they changed the lyrics to something concerning Arthur Conan Doyle's crime novel "The Hound of the Baskervilles" (published 1902) which is a story of Sherlock Holmes investigating an allegedly demonic dog.  What ties together Black Sabbath and Sherlock Holmes? Truly nothing I can think of. For additional confusion we get this performance with Bert and Cindy in front of a spooky foggy castle backdrop. It has a similar look to a Hammer horror film.
