Round Robin - I'm The Wolf Man (1965)

[often spelled "Wolfman"]

Hey everybody. It's May.

First off, it's my wonderful stepma's birthday. Her favorite song is Sympathy For The Devil by The Stones. It's an absolute classic track by one of my favorite bands of all time. I love it. We listened to it today. But I'm not posting it here because I assume you already know it, right? I sure hope so.

It's also a full moon tonight so I think it's a good day to post a song about a guy who isn't simply a werewolf, he's The Wolf Man, baby. And it's really one of the wildest rock n rollers of the mid 60s. I love the way this starts out with a scorching guitar riff and growling and shrieking or whatever exactly is happening to throw us into this madness.

Interestingly, Round Robin was often compared to Chubby Checker ("The Twist"), partially because of physical appearance, but also musically, so this track is definitely an excursion from his usual repertoire.

"and when you see me on the prowl, watch it when you hear me growl..."
